Before joining Zauber, he worked at Tacto as a product engineer and prior to that gathered deep customer-facing experience at BCG X building AI solutions for enterprise players across the US and Europe. Earlier he held AI and product focused roles across start-ups and a boutique AI consultancy.

He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) where he co-founded TUM.ai - one of Europe’s largest AI-focused student initiatives. He is an alumnus of Manage and More by UnternehmerTUM.

Basti spent his childhood playing Basketball and pursuing body building semi-professionally with his career peaking in a Gladiator photo shoot for a B-movie production. He is an avid chess player and loses himself in his IDE when attending social gatherings.
